Ground Truth 2.0

Lead organisation: IHE Delft (Governmental)

Ground Truth 2.0 is a 3-year EC funded project that is setting up and validating six citizen observatories in real conditions, infour European and two African demonstration cases. The project is demonstrating that such observatories are technologically feasible, can be implemented sustainably and that they have many societal and economic benefits.

Policy uptake explanation

The Ground Truth 2.0 approach combines the social dimensions of citizen observatories with enabling technologies. A range of social interaction mechanisms will provide the basis for co-designing and co-creating citizen observatories. The iterative co-design process of the citizen observatories will consist of interactive sessions, taking into account not only local stakeholders but also governance goals, cultures, customs and languages.
