FreshWater Watch

Lead organisation: EarthWatch (Non-governmental)

FreshWater Watch platform and mobile application allows audiences of different backgrounds to easily collect and analyse water quality data while gathering information on the main causes and sources of water pollution and monitor the ecological status of water bodies in comparison to the Water Frame Directive. Besides producing scientific outputs (>20 papers) and to creating an informed community (https://freshwaterlinks.org/) – it provides a tool to bridge the gap between policy and research and guide conservation and policy implementation: i.e. tool to monitor and evaluate restoration and management practices/policies at local, catchment and national level
