Policy milestone¶

1 Definition¶

Policy milestones mark significant progress in addressing specific issues, or crucial decision points where significant choices are made. Concrete examples of policy milestones are: policy planning and proposing, impact assessment, implementation, or implementation cycles (e.g., Water Framework Directive, Marine Strategy Framework Directive), achievement of policy objectives and policy targets, evaluating evaluating and improvement of existing laws.
